1. What are cookies & similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Modern sites also use similar browser storage — localStorage (small key–value data), IndexedDB (a structured browser database), and Service Worker caches (files kept for offline use). This policy covers all of them together.
2. What we use — the complete list
Everything below falls into two categories: strictly necessary (the site cannot function properly without it) and functional/analytics (improves your experience and helps us understand listenership anonymously).

3. What we do not use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No third-party analytics trackers (no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar).
- No cross-site tracking or sale of browsing data.
Note: your browser still makes direct network requests to a few third-party CDNs (fonts, icon and styling libraries) and to an IP geolocation service for approximate city-level listener statistics. These are not cookies, but like any web request your IP address is technically visible to those providers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
4. How to manage or clear them
You are in full control:
- Block or delete cookies via your browser's privacy settings (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari all support this under Settings → Privacy & Security).
- Clear everything we store by using your browser's "Clear site data" option for revelationfm.co.za — this removes cookies, localStorage, IndexedDB, and the offline cache in one step.
Good to know: clearing site data is safe — the site will simply fetch fresh content and assign a new random listener ID. Blocking cookies entirely does not stop you from listening or reading; only admin login and offline support depend on them.
